The Celtic Scrolls -
A tribute to sixteen Celtic Preceptors

by David Freemont McCready

In the time of the Clan peace was very uneasy, as it is today – tribal rivalry and pressure from the King made life a chillingly brutal existence. In the harsh world of the early Iron Age, William Wallace carried the Celtic scrolls throughout the embattled countryside but fate intervened during the heat of the battle and the scrolls were lost in the river at Stirling Bridge. The commandments now unwritten, became the legend of the Scot-Irish. By word of mouth, the commandments were given to Sixteen Preceptors, entrusted to preserve the Celts identity and culture. Similar to Moses, with the 10 commandments, God placed in the custody of those brave men the fundamentals of survival. These disciples placed their faith in the single God and the wisdom of the ages.

It has been revealed to the author that present world circumstances mandates that these most needed precepts be brought to the attention of mankind. And those who possess this message will be obligated to protect and teach the merits of the clan.
The collection of 16 Proverbs was bestowed upon the Celts to defend against all scourges. Becoming fierce opponents, they dealt with the invaders of their sacred culture, with the swift sword of justice These names have been withheld until this day as they are now called upon to intercede against the forces of evil. The Evil today is the bondage of people throughout entire world that threatens to crush their spiritual alliance and freedom of independence.

Each Preceptor had been entrusted with a special command from the Most High. The command is to be applied and passed on as it had been received. When a threat is present the Preceptor will impose his wrath and exercise his right to quell it. With the help of almighty God, right will triumph. Now, and forever, be advised that the following were the original caretakers of the truth. You who now carry this burden, will act to preserve freedom and the right of self determination. You may not be fully aware that at this time solemn obligation has been set upon you; but, you will in due time realize that you have been charged with the custody and authority to apply the prescribed action. Today you may be called upon to enforce and protect any, or all of the following:

1 -Darmuth – Custodian of Birth, directs parents to provide, protect and nurture their children at all cost, and prevent their exposure to Evil works and Deeds. Teach the great commandments given to Moses by the one and only God.

2 -Qarrom – Custodian of Discovery, directs each of us in the human family to seek knowledge and encourage the development of the tools of wisdom. Above all to practice and foster the seeking of assistance from the Most High - complimenting ones own intuitive nature.

3 – Bick – Custodian of conscience – provides the inner voice that allows each of us to review and reflect upon actions taken or those having been taken in the past. We are to close out the evil and vile thoughts that lead us upon a path of conflict with the great commandments.

4 -Marsoon – Preceptor of History demands that we keep the true and accurate details of history from the taint of revision. Only those ignorant of History are destined to repeat it. History is our source of council in face of decisions that will affect our future.

5 -Tid – The Preceptor of Masonry defines that we square our work as we square our lives. Always, in the performance of our craft, do so with care and elegance. Your work with men defines you as man not as a beast. Scant measures applied to our work are a pattern for disaster and scant integrity in your relationships with men will pattern your failure.

6 -Tolivar – The Preceptor of Sovereignty demands that the assets given by the Most High be protected now and for all times. Squandering your best nature on fruitless thought or the relaxation of the security of your borders must be guarded at all times

7 - Zo – The Preceptor of your Homeland goes deep into your every daily action making you aware of the need to improve those close to you and refrain from breeding discontentment. The security of your homeland is each person’s obligation to the other that benefits the Homeland as a whole.

8 -Pleh – The Preceptor of Invention is our connection for the advancement of our society. Our needs are met and advanced by rooting our intuition to the Most High. Grace will be supplied and nurtured by avoiding the ever-present distractions of Evil.

9 - Dimono – The Preceptor of Enjoyment is with you at all times. Your life is supposed to be a joy and your every moment of time is to be full and uplifting. Guard against the negativity of the Evil and Vile as they threaten you and the existence of all your people.

10 – Forsse – The Preceptor of Safety places before you the good judgment to avoid circumstance and conditions that would damage your body and soul. Be vigilant and use the wisdom of the Preceptors to carry you through the uncharted waters of life.

11 - Cokon – The Preceptor of Redemption provides you with a map of salvation. When you open yourself to the Everlasting force of the Great One, you will be guided into the realm of ecstasy as you are garnered with a cloak of defiance against Evil.

12 - Nokok – The Preceptor of Compassion will be with you always, as you become a light to all of your surroundings. The light is our spiritual guide to eternity as it closes out the dark desires of Evil. Seek the light always as Evil can only see in the darkness of the human heart.

13 - Papillin – the Preceptor of Nutrition commands that you are vigilant as to what you partake both in body and spirit. You are to grow only those foods that build the body and avoid those that defile the body – as the body once defiled will be most susceptible to the works of Evil.

14 - Isen – the Preceptor of Reincarnation promises that the Great One provides many resting places along the way both in the present and future life. All lessons learned and practiced in this life will be an advantage in the next life.

15 - Donner - Preceptor of Health works with your body and your spirit to lessen the pain of life. Health is both a mental process as much as a physical condition. Practice the wisdom of the Preceptors and your physical and mental conditions will be enhanced.

16 - Blisock – The Preceptor of Harmony was last to be commanded by the Great One – it is to be the essence and fulfillment of the 16 wisdoms working together that creates the Harmony of our existence. Once we find the song of life, the harmony will follow. Look for your song in the 16 Precepts and you will find your place in eternity.
