After several months of advertising, we were notified by the
attorneys for the Rockefeller Plaza complex that we were not
permitted to name a watch after their protected site. This was
an initial shocker for the new company. D.Freemont watches
sought a new avenue for naming their watches. We chose zip
code numbers which led to our adopting zip code names for
most of our watches. The 1st was the remake of the Rockefeller
Center which now became the “10111” the zip code for that
restricted area. next, the Rodeo Drive “90212” for Beverly
Hills, CA, and even the Barcelona Moon Phase “08010” for the
Cathedral location in Barcelona, Spain. |
